MeisterSinger Neo Zeigerdatum Is A New Watch With An Old Heart

Apparently, no one told the MeisterSinger Neo Zeigerdatum. Yes, we’ve seen multi-hand dials before, but not like this. A second pointer gives this new member, available in two sizes, a character of its own.
Everyone likes breaking the rules, right? Tearing up the book and trying something new is fun. And while MeisterSinger remains dedicated to its single-hand concept, experimenting with subtle tweaks should probably be encouraged.
I think the crucial aspect of this design is that the second pointer (that stubby little red/black thing poking out beneath the large central hand) does not play any part in indicating the time itself, only the date. For the sake of des..

For this week’s 52Mondayz I chose to wear the first generation Omega Constellation Manhattan. It’s an icon from the 1980s that started a new line of watches.
That line welcomed its latest generation just three weeks ago. If that’s not a nice reason to dedicate this article to the first generation of the Omega Constellation Manhattan, I don’t know what is.
Wearing the Omega Constellation Manhattan feels like coming home every time I put in on my wrist. It’s a feeling of recognizing everything th..

View Of The Future: Vacheron Constantin Launches New Line Of Ladies Watches

Creating an entirely new collection is always one of the most challenging aspects of being a watch manufacture. To be successful, it needs to be in touch with what clients want right now. However, watch manufactures also have a legacy to think of, which in the case of Vacheron Constantin goes back to 1755. At its best, the new design should be a bit ahead of the curve, giving clients what they have been wanting without knowing it themselves. With the Égérie is Vacheron Constantin is hoping to achieve just that, and they might have a very good chance actually to do so. READ MORE

New Frederique Constant’s collection designed exclusively for Women modernizes the glamorous style of the Jazz Age.
The New WomenThe 1920s introduced new symbols and one of them was the modern women — high-powered, visionary, and comfortable openly embracing a lifestyle viewed by many as scandalous. Independent women of the 1920s had a tremendous impact on the future by pushing boundaries in economic, political, and sexual freedom.

Frederique Constant’s Classic Art Deco collection is inspired by women breaking down barriers as well as the stylistic trends of the period. The deco-inspired design of five watches perfectly captures the spirit o..

Milus Snow Star Watch Review

Circa 2019-2020, historic Swiss watchmaker Milus made a comeback — with some fresh concepts, as well as a smart re-make of the classic Milus Snow Star. In addition to being an attractive dress-style watch with good value that uses quality materials, the Snow Star has one of the coolest stories around. Today, Milus is actually owned by a member of the Tissot family — the same that sold the eponymous brand to the Swatch Group some years back.
width=”560″ height=”315″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”> Before talking about the latest Snow Star watch, just a bit about what Milus is all about today. In the early 2000s Milus, as a company, focused on higher-end watches that included complicated luxuries, each exceeding $100,000 in price. They also had a good collection under the “TriRetrograde” name that featured three retrograde hands on the dial for indicating the seconds. Those recent Milus watches are now “history” with today’s Milus focusing on practicality, classic des..

MB&F Legacy Machine Perpetual In Yellow Gold Is The Best Yet

The beneficiary of this new/old trend? The new MB&F Legacy Machine Perpetual Yellow Gold. Perhaps the brand’s finest movement gets a new home. And short of El Dorado, there’s no better place to be.
Amazingly, this is just the second time in MB&F‘s fabled history that yellow gold has been used as a case material. The sole example prior to the 44mm MB&F Legacy Machine Perpetual in yellow gold? The LM101 Frost YG. Even more astoundingly, that was five years ago (although it still feels like yesterday to me). Since then we’ve seen plenty of red gold, white gold, and all other kind..

No Longer Made: Rolex Explorer II 16570 Watch

No Longer Made is a series done in collaboration with our partners at eBay, in which aBlogtoWatch editors feature their favorite watches that are no longer in production.
There are a few words that have lost all meaning when it comes to discussing Rolex watches. “Underrated,” “sleeper,” and “undervalued” may not be completely meaningless at this point, but we are getting there at a rapid pace. Social media and, frankly, articles like this one don’t do any favors for the enthusiast hunters out there, but you’d be surprised how many people I’ve met that are pretty clueless about the Explorer II. In this article, I’m going to take a look at the Explorer II Ref. 16750, which was the 40mm version that was produced for 22 years, from 1989 through 2011. Low-key design, dual time zone functionality, near indestructibility, and with a doggedly non-luxurified attitude, the Explorer II 16750 may be the best value modern Rolex sports watch out there.

Sure, I’m a bit biased towards the Explorer ..
